William Martinez

Guillermo Martínez studied cello and Chamber Music at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Murcia, also graduating in Art History at the university in the same city.

He specializes in baroque cello and interpretation of early music, attending master classes with professors such as A. Bylsma, R. Zipperling, L. Swarts and G. Nassillo among others, as well as chamber and orchestral music with F. Biondi, Ch Hogwood and E. Moreno.For several years he has been awarded a scholarship by the University of Salamanca to study with I. Atutxa in the courses organized by the department of Ancient Music of said university.

Guillermo Martínez Concepción carries out a notable activity in the interpretation of the baroque and classical repertoire with period instruments, collaborating with numerous formations such as La madrileña, Forma Antiqua, La Folía, Harmonía del Parnás, La Capilla Real de Madrid, etc… with which He has made numerous recordings for Alpha, Verso, Columna Música or La Compañía del Principe, and concerts throughout Europe and Latin America.
